From the Fields … to the classrooms of Lewis Hall! 🌾

Last week, students in Ms. Thornhill’s Special Topics in Marketing class presented their semester-long project for From the Fields Meat & Processing.

Throughout the semester, students developed a strategy for each area of the media mix: paid, owned and earned media. Their work included creating a mock newsletter, brochure and social media content, designing ad concepts for Tifton Grapevine, developing a media list and more.

The earned media group even pitched and helped coordinate their client’s appearance on WALB’s Town and Country show and met with WALB’s marketing team.

We are proud of these students for applying classroom concepts to a real client, gaining hands-on marketing experience right here in South Georgia and strengthening the connections that make us Think Tifton!

Congratulations to Evelyn Carreno and Dr. Ryan Currie on their well-deserved recognition at ABAC’s 2026 Honors Day! 👏🏻✨🐎

Evelyn was named the Student of Distinction for the Stafford School of Business, while Dr. Currie received the Donaldson Teaching Award, one of the highest honors awarded to a faculty member.

What makes this moment even more special is that Dr. Currie is Evelyn’s academic advisor. Their success is a true reflection of what happens when strong student dedication meets meaningful faculty mentorship.

We are so proud of the way Evelyn and Dr. Currie represent the Stafford School of Business. Talk about the true definition of advisor and advisee success! 👏
