🎶📚 Multimodal Text? YES—Even Song Lyrics! 🇺🇸

Music and Media teamed up for an exciting collaboration! Mrs. Helms and Mrs. Fincher joined forces to help students explore U.S. Symbols, with a special focus on “The Star-Spangled Banner,” our National Anthem. 🇺🇸🎶

Students discovered that learning doesn’t always happen through traditional text. Song lyrics are text, too! By combining music, words, and meaning, students explored how different modes can work together to deepen understanding. Using their new-found knowledge, they worked hard and created brochures highlighting the symbols they chose!

🍂 Fall Break is almost here! Tift County Schools students will be out October 14th – 20th.

📅 Wednesday, October 14th: K – 5 Parent Conference Day
📅 Tuesday, October 20th: Teacher Inservice Day
📚 Students return Wednesday, October 21st.

We hope our students and staff enjoy their break, get some much-needed rest, and take time to recharge!
