Scott’s background
Scott’s Southern Select Fat Lighter was started in 2018 by Tift County High School freshman Scott Upshaw. He networks with individuals who are clearing land and collects old pine stumps and other “fat” pieces of pine, cleans them and cuts them into small pieces to sell in his bundles, baskets and buckets that he sells himself locally and also in a few retail outlets.
