🌱 A great day of learning, connection, and opportunity for our farmers!

Today’s Premier Farmer Event at Rohrs Manufacturing was a fantastic example of what Ohio Farm Bureau is all about — bringing people together to learn, grow, and build a stronger future for agriculture.

Our members had the opportunity to tour Rohrs Manufacturing and see firsthand how LandLuvr strip-till units are made, while learning more about a progressive farming techniques that can provide both agronomic and environmental benefits.

We were also fortunate to hear from Kip Studer, ODA Conservation Program Manager about updates to H2Ohio, followed by Dr. Chris Winslow with The Ohio State University and Ohio Sea Grant, who shared how practices such as strip-till can play a role in improving the health of Lake Erie. Perhaps most importantly, farmers had the opportunity to share their own perspectives with Dr. Winslow offering insight into how agriculture can better communicate the conservation practices farmers are using every day to be good stewards of the land and water.

That conversation is a great example of shaping policy and leveraging trends — making sure farmers have a seat at the table and that the story of modern agriculture is being told accurately.

Members also had the opportunity to take advantage of sunspot screenings through the Ohio Northern University Health Bus and connect with representatives from AgCredit, ACA, Kalmbach Feeds, Inc., Citizens National Bank, Savage & Associates, Anthem, and Rogers Insurance Agency Beryl Rogers/Nationwide. These connections help provide our members with resources, expertise, and on-farm business solutions that can support their operations.

From learning about new technology and conservation practices to connecting with businesses and resources that create opportunities for growth, today truly highlighted all four pillars of Ohio Farm Bureau:

🌱 Shaping Policy
📈 Leveraging Trends
🚜 Creating Opportunities for Growth
🤝 Advancing On-Farm Business Solutions

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who shared their time, knowledge, and resources today — and especially proud that our Farm Bureau boards have the opportunity to serve our members by creating events like this.

We would also like to thank our new group member Moore Than Just BBQ for catering lunch!
