As we came together Tuesday evening to reflect on the successes, challenges, and memories of the 2026 Seneca County Fair, there is one thing we know for certain—we could not do it without YOU.

To our incredible community, our hardworking 4-H and FFA members, dedicated staff and volunteers, advisors and coordinators, department superintendents, parents and grandparents, exhibitors, participants, supporters, and every person who walked through our gates this year—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

A county fair is so much more than one week each summer. It is months of preparation, countless volunteer hours, early mornings and late nights, generations of traditions, new friendships, proud moments, and memories that last a lifetime. Every one of you plays a part in making the Seneca County Fair what it is.

Throughout the year, the Seneca County Agricultural Society works behind the scenes discussing new ideas, listening to feedback, making improvements, and finding ways to provide a safe, fun, welcoming, and memorable fair experience for everyone. We do it because this fair belongs to our community, and seeing families return year after year makes all the hard work worthwhile.

As we close the chapter on 2026, we’re already looking ahead to something very special—our 185th Seneca County Fair celebration! 🎉

Thank you for supporting our fair, sharing in our traditions, and helping us continue something that has brought our community together for generations.

We can’t wait to celebrate 185 years with all of you in 2027!

With heartfelt appreciation,
The Seneca County Agricultural Society

"County Fairs" is America 250-Ohio's August theme! Today we're looking back at the early days of the Seneca County Fair with this historic photograph of horse racing.

Horse racing became part of the fair in 1855, when the Seneca County Union Race Course was built. By then, the fair had expanded from a two-day event to three days, with admission costing just 10 cents per person or $1 per family.

Did you attend the Seneca County Fair last week? What was your favorite part of the fair?

A cell phone was turned in during Fair week to the office. If you know someone that lost one or if it was you, call the office to claim.
