Savannah State University’s Annual Scholarship Gala, a celebration of the success of our institution and our students, was held Saturday April 1. The gala provides a meaningful opportunity for the community to support students who need financial help in order to earn a college degree. Approximately 90% of our students receive financial aid. Proceeds from the affair help to provide scholarship support for deserving students. Representatives who attended for COST include: Dr. Shakespeare (Chair for Dept of Biology), Andre Vaughan (Environmental Sci major), Sidney Sapp (Marine Sci major), Tejasvee Williams (Mathematics major), and Mrs. Holly Sparks (Coordinator for COST).
