The High School Concert Choir, Blue + Gold Tones, and Rocket Renaissance participated in the Crimson Hawks Cavalcade of Choirs today at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
At this event, the ensembles each performed three of their concert selections for this year’s adjudicators: Mr. Stephen Holmes, Dr. Craig Denison, and Mr. Benjamin Filippone. The adjudicators provided written and recorded feedback, and then took the time to do short clinics and coachings with our groups!
At these adjudications, a choir’s goal is to score a 1. A 1 is considered superior and is the equivalent of an A+ grade in a class or an outstanding on the PSSA and Keystone Exams. Each group performed some of their most challenging selections. The Concert Choir performed music at an advanced HS level; Rocket Renaissance at a Collegiate level; and Blue + Gold Tones at an advanced collegiate level.
We are thrilled to report that all three ensembles earned superior ratings and lots of praise from the adjudicators! This is a really remarkable achievement for all students involved! Congratulate a chorus student when you see them on their incredible achievement!
