Let's talk lines and robots!

New this year to our district is a little green magical line painter. If you're out at the athletic fields, take a closer look at the lines and numbers on the field. They've all been painted with a robotic line painter that can also add bonus items to the field like our logo, special event titles and more. Our maintenance crew has had this new member of the team up and working for the first couple of games already. The robot uses less paint, and it's very precise with the line markers. The logo has been programmed into the field settings, so now we have a TL Bluejay out on the field.

Want another peek at the progress?

Everyone in the district is really busy right now cleaning, organizing and finishing up projects before school starts on Sept. 3. As a reminder, our District Open House is Sept. 2, so you'll be able to see a lot of the changes then.

For now, think of things as kind of in the state you're in before a major holiday when all of the guests are coming over. You know what we're talking about ... that moment when you're trying to bake a turkey, clean a bathroom and set the table all at the same time and then you decide it's a good time to clean the light fixture in the hallway that hasn't been touched in a year? That's sort of where we're at ... it's going to come together beautifully before students arrive, but it's a little crazy right now.

As a reminder, this construction project will stretch into 2028. The first phase was this summer, and some of the projects that were started this summer will stretch into the fall and winter. Then, we'll have another wave of major projects next summer.

Today, the elementary library is being re-shelved. That's all new carpeting you see in there ... We also have technicians working on door systems and wiring, and cleaners going through rooms, and specialists installing glass in doors, and even more work than you can imagine.

Let's talk Three Lakes Football!

The first home football game of the season is tomorrow night, Aug. 21 against Florence County School District, and we have some updates to share with everyone considering we are in the middle of a construction project.

1. Parking. Please ONLY park in the high school parking lot for now. The new parking lot and the area near the elementary school are active construction sites that are not ready for the public to use. This is our "pardon our dust," conversation as many things are done, but many more are still being worked on. Please park at the high school and walk to the athletic fields.

2. Tickets. All ticketing is cashless and must be done through GoFan. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time (we'll drop the link to GoFan in the comments) or you can purchase electronically at the stadium at the ticketing counter. Tickets are $5 for adults, and those 62 and older are free. All students are free.

3. The new outdoor bathrooms should be ready for tomorrow night! Again, the project is in progress, so please be aware that things will not be perfect. That said, you will notice a new sound system, an extended bleacher section, field lines painted with our new robotic painter, new fencing and more. Consider this first game a sneak peek of things to come. :)

We are so excited to welcome you to the first game of the year, and we're excited to kick off (quite literally ... kickoff at 7 pm) the 2026-27 school year.

WE'RE SO BACK!

The entire district staff is in Three Lakes today for the first inservice day of the 2026-27 school year. We started the day with coffee and doughnuts followed by an assembly to welcome in the new school year. For the rest of the day, staff will be going through some building-level meetings and training sessions.

We have so many things to tell you all about ... new staff, building updates, and more. Stay tuned as the year kicks off and things get rolling here at TLSD.

Our new staff members are in the house!

Yesterday was "new staff orientation" day for the 2026-27 school year, which means we are getting much closer to the first day of school! Our new staff members took a tour of facilities, had lunch with mentors and learned the ins and outs of being of a Three Lakes Bluejay.

We'll make some more formal introductions as things get rolling for the new school year. For now, let's give these new Bluejays a big welcome and wish them well in the new school year!

So much has been happening at Three Lakes and Sugar Camp this summer as the construction project continues. Here's some bird's-eye views of the progress!

At the athletic fields, the new track is in, irrigation has been installed, the new parking lot is moving forward, AND ... the new concession stand/bathroom building is on the grounds!

At Sugar Camp, the new additions are looking more and more like part of the building, and at Three Lakes Elementary, you can see how the new parking area is taking shape.

We have tons of things happening on the inside, too. More to come!

It might not be fall yet, but we're thinking FOOTBALL!

That's right, if you've been itching for a good football game, we've got you covered. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Game will take place tomorrow night (Friday, July 17) at UW-Oshkosh, and our very own Sawyer Szews will be on the field. If you can't make the game in person, no worries! The game will be live-streamed by Zaleski Sports, and we'll drop the link down in the comments.

Thank you to everyone in the community who supported Sawyer for this game. Donations from the game will go to Children's Hospital on behalf of Sawyer and the Three Lakes High School.

Sawyer will be No. 19 on the Blue (North) Team.

You asked, and we listened!

The 4th of July T-shirts you saw us wearing in the parade are now available for purchase for a limited time. T-shirts are $20 each and can be purchased on our GoFan page (we'll drop the link in the comments). Shirts can be picked up in the high school office on July 22 and July 23 from 8 am to 3 pm.
