Oxnard Young Ecologist's don't just vacay on trips to Sequoia National Park, we work hard!

This time, OYE put in 31 hours of volunteer time! Assisting the Round Meadow Restoration Project, removing invasive orchard and timothy grasses (Dactylis glomerata and Phleum pratense) and helping to work towards a healthier and more functioning ecosystem in Sequoia National Park.

Save the dates for some exciting events coming to you from SAMO Fund and SAMO Fund Field Institute 🗓️

⭐ August 8th: Imagining LA's Next Great Park

Join the SAMO Fund Field Institute, Airport2Park, and the Great Park Coalition for an exploration of one of Los Angeles' most exciting public spaces in the making.

⭐ August 30th: Medicine Pouch Making Workshop

Led by Indigenous knowledge-keepers Kathy Willcuts Garcia and Steven Garcia, this two-hour workshop guides participants through hand-sewing their own medicine pouch and filling it with sacred traditional plants.

🌱 Every Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat, sign up to volunteer with SAMO Fund's Restoration , Seed Farm or Native Plant Nursery Teams.
