I didn’t start filming yesterday, but today I’m impressed that this is two videos spliced together. I find editing videos to be intimidating. Shared some art as that is something I really enjoy doing along with writing!

You can’t force someone to have interest or care.

All that energy that went into proving I was worth whatever I thought the other person needed from me. It was a pattern from childhood ….pick me dad! Pick me mom!

Anywho—- I realized this years and years ago, however as with personal growth it comes off in layers, the same thing you think you dealt with already comes to visit AGAIN from a deeper place(yay—not), with more realizations.

Do we ever unload it all? Probably not—who the f knows. I don’t really care, as perfect isn’t the goal and other people telling me I’m ok isn’t the goal. Me being me is the goal.

Whew what a relief! And this pic is as good as I could get with my dog who prefers to stand on me for pets when I’m on the floor.

“I don’t want what you have because I know what I have.”

Took a long time to REALIZE this, because I always felt something was missing. I could look at others and see it was possible.

Unfortunately, when I would see someone and go “wow, that’s cool, I’m gonna do that,” I didn’t know my motivation. And it didn’t take into account I didn’t see the whole picture of what their whole life looked like(and when I did, it had me thinking a lot more about why I would want that hornet’s nest).

People I admired from afar only to see the 💩show up close—people who I had pegged as good or wise and yeah…. we all have our own 💩 and over the years of ups and downs I was like, “I like what I have and no matter what I sacrifice or how hard I try—the thing I’m trying to get is no more important than what I already have today… this moment.”

And being present and grateful for what I have changes how I make decisions for myself. There is a joy and peace where before I was driven by insecurity, proving I was good or enough or successful or whatever… yup! In other news my new veggie garden is thriving!

Wish I woulda loved myself back then. That’s what I was thinking, as I was organizing pics—thinking about how I treated myself and it’s affect on the world around me. Here I was in Dallas working for my client Lawman Jeans in my 30s, and announcing the different models/outfits for something I organized—I created and was successful. #

But I never felt that.

Anyways, met one of my soul sisters back then and other good things came—but when I think of regrets, the regrets are how I felt about myself. And I’m working on it.

Ahhhhh vacation…. What we all look forward to and then it happens, “celebration,” but in our case it ended early. Sometimes you wave the white flag and say “okay…..maybe we should go home now….or in my husband’s case perhaps my wife and her car might be better off at home,” hahaha!

Oregon is as always beautiful. The fires happening are extremely sad. We will be back and hope next time the flat tires in isolated areas like Oceanside, low oil at least happened in Hood River…. The COVID from Cannon Beach, the migraine that I ended up in the ER with in Bend, and the broken wisdom tooth that finally had us shrug and go home skipping Jville and it’s 100 degree weather, remind me that sh*tty things happen, but man we had some really great times too!! Nature is so amazing in the state to the north.
