Spring Choral Concert with Cal Lutheran Choirs The Cal Lutheran Choirs will perform an inspiring program of choral music led by conductor Franco Basili.

Register today for courses including The History of Satan with Dr. Jason Hensley, Ancient Rome in Rome Today with Katherine Zoraster, "Rolling Stone" Magazine and the San Francisco Counterculture with Dr. Peter Richardson, and others! Courses are $35 each; bundle 3 for $80 or all 5 courses for just $115. Over half of the courses can be attended in-person at the Thousand Oaks campus. 🎓 Meet Colleen Carpenter-Gonia ’12, Theology and Christian Leadership alum with a passion for teaching, community, and lifelong learning.
Colleen describes her time at Cal Lutheran as transformative — a season of deep growth where she deconstructed and rebuilt her faith, morals, and ethics while discovering her vocation as both a teacher and leader. Through experiences in Student Government, the Vocation and Leadership Cohort, and as a Convocator, she developed skills that continue to shape her work and worldview today.
Now a teacher and farmer in Maryland, Colleen’s life reflects her commitment to purpose, justice, and community. Named a Maryland Teacher of Promise in 2024, she holds two master’s degrees and even donated a kidney to her father — a testament to her courage and compassion.
