Regulated Civil Discourse

I am an alum of California Lutheran University ('86 - Drama & '95 - MS Counseling Psych). I live in Thousand Oaks, CA where I work as a vocational counselor. I feel that some issues facing our culture today are so complicated, deep-seated, and potentially divisive that we need new tools to help us communicate and understand each other. ivil discourse. It is called Regulated Civil Discourse, or "RCD". It is a set of simple rules and guidelines that two people agree to follow, under the supervision of a facilitator, while discussing a topic upon which they disagree. It is not mediation or debate; it is two people collaborating to challenge their own opinions. I need two people to help with testing this idea. I will match your topic of interest/expertise with another person with similar interest and expertise but who holds an opposing point of view to yours.
