Notice of Law Enforcement Training at Thorp School

Tomorrow, July 31, the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office will conduct training at Thorp School from approximately 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Deputies will practice responding to simulated active incidents inside the building. This exercise involves training weapons (SIM-style guns) and simulated audio stimuli, including blank rounds.

This is strictly a training exercise, and "Police Training" signs will be posted around the perimeter. For safety reasons, the school will be completely closed to the public during these hours.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our community safe.
