Still smiling thinking about my time with the team at Stanley-Boyd! They are such a complete joy to work with. We dug deep into Teacher Clarity, Explicit Instruction, and Reciprocal Teaching, and the energy in the room was wonderful.

Plus, I loved getting to reconnect with their superintendent, Jeff Koenig, who was my "superintendent bestie" during my Wisconsin days.

I’m so honored to share that I’ll be speaking at the World Literacy Summit at Oxford University, April 1–3, 2027!

My session, “From Science to Success: Leading Literacy Through Implementation”, is especially meaningful to me because knowing what works is only the beginning.

The real work happens when we move from research to practice… when leaders create the conditions for teachers to implement evidence-based practices well… and when that implementation translates into better outcomes for students.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this global conversation about literacy and to learn alongside so many passionate literacy leaders and educators from around the world.

What an incredible week! 💚

I had the privilege of spending several days learning alongside the amazing teams at Rockdale, Akron Elementary, and Mentone Elementary—and I’m leaving with so much gratitude and excitement.

The growth these teams have made is truly tremendous. But what stands out even more is the heart behind the work—the commitment of teachers, the leadership of their teams, and the joy that comes from seeing students engaged, growing, and believing in themselves.

There is something so special about walking into a school, feeling their warm culture, seeing the work in action, and realizing just how far a team has come. These moments are why I love what I do. ❤️

Thank you to the teachers and leaders who continue to show up, learn, reflect, adjust, and believe that growth is possible.

And the best part? Getting to experience it alongside students. Their energy, curiosity, and excitement are the reminders that ALL Means ALL!

I can hardly believe we are only a few weeks away from the All Means ALL! Conference! ✨

I’ve been spending so much time putting this day together, and I cannot wait to gather with educators and school leaders in Buffalo. We are focusing on real, practical ideas we can actually take back to our classrooms and buildings to move the work forward.
