Trojan Families and Students,
What an amazing day we had today as we kicked off the 2026–27 school year! It is always so rewarding to see our students return after summer break. There was great energy throughout the hallways, and our students seemed eager to get back into the routine of learning.
With such a great start to the school year, we need the continued support of our families. Here are a few important areas where we could use your help:
Construction: Construction is in full swing on campus. Please communicate with your student about the importance of avoiding all construction areas. Students must not cross any fencing or boundaries established by the construction team. I cannot stress this enough. These boundaries are in place for everyone's safety.
Student Drop-Off: Parking will be a challenge this year and for the next couple of years. Please use the designated student drop-off area on the south side of the building when dropping off your student. We will not allow student drop-off in the main parking lot off Washington.
Student Parking: Students have two parking options:
The Senior Lot, located on the south side of campus, is a designated student parking area and requires a parking pass. Students can see Maciel in the Student Relations Office to purchase a pass. Parking is first come, first served, as we are limited to 120 spaces.
Student parking is free in the lot by the stadium on the east side of Washington. Students should park in the middle two rows and must not park in any designated Staff Only parking spaces.
Arrival Time: School begins at 7:40 a.m. With the impacts of construction and limited parking, please plan accordingly so your student arrives on time and ready to learn.
Freshmen Chromebooks: Freshmen will receive their Chromebooks on Thursday, August 13th. It is important that all freshmen are present on this day.
Student ID Pictures: All students will have their pictures taken for their student IDs on Friday, August 14th. Information about purchasing photos will be sent home at that time.
Fall Sports and Activities: If your student is interested in participating in a fall sport or activity, please see Jeremiah Johnson or Yuliza Castrejon (JuJu) in the main office for more information. The deadline to register is August 14th.
I am looking forward to an amazing year and want every student's experience at THS to be memorable, positive, and successful.
If you need anything, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you for your continued support of our students and Trojan community!
Go Trojans!
