Pathways Future Center School

Pathways Future Center School Currently, Pathways serves more than 800 students every year. Over 430 students were served in the 2011-2012 school year and 101 students earned their diplomas.

Pathways was created in 2010 by Adams 12 Five Star Schools as a pilot program with a goal to support 25 students who had left our schools without graduating from high school. Our Story

Pathways was created in 2010 by Adams 12 Five Star Schools as a pilot program with a goal to support 25 students who had left our schools without graduating from high school. By the end of the 2010-2011 school year

, over 250 students were served and 50 students earned their high school diplomas. In 2011-2012, Pathways moved into our new facility, the Futures Center, and expanded programming to include both a Traditional Diploma and a Competency-Based Diploma. We are excited this year to offer additional support to our students including face-to-face elective courses, more elective offerings, an increase in staff, and more structure to support students' individual needs. Our Model

Pathways has a blended learning model. Students are provided opportunities to learn through digital content and through direct and one-on-one instruction with a highly qualified content teacher. We use several curricula to help support students including, but not limited to: e2020, Compass Odyssey, and KeyTrain. Our instructors design their courses based on Adams 12 Five Star Schools' Units of Study and Colorado State Content Standards. To effectively meet students' needs, there are several levels of support. Students will work with teachers in groups for content instruction, individually for additional support or specific skill development, one-on-one in our advising program, and in our lab environment. In addition, we have a full time guidance counselor, a full time special education teacher, and a part time graduation coach. Individualizing Education

Our students are our number one customer. We review their transcripts, learn about their needs and future plans, and develop a graduation plan and a schedule that is designed for them to achieve their goals. Our curricula is prescriptive; it is designed to test their knowledge of the subject and assigns only the content that they have not yet mastered. This allows students to work at their own pace. The support of our staff and our prescriptive curricula often help students learn material faster than they would in a traditional environment. What do Our Students and Families Say About Pathways? "Every member of the Pathways team is dedicated to helping young people achieve their dream of graduation. With all of the budget cuts, we are proud of the district for continuing to provide a great program that helps educate so many young people" - Lisa and Luke Large, Pathways Parents

"The staff at Pathways is amazing. They will do everything they can to help you achieve your goal of graduating. There is always someone willing to listen and help you out." - Tommy Dietz, Graduate

"Pathways taught me a lot about myself. I learned that I have the ability to set goals and achieve them. I learned that I know more than I thought I did and that I am capable of many things." - Jordan Stikeleather, Graduate

"Pathways was a good fit for me. I could work at my own pace and work with teachers one-on-one when I needed it. i could finish my courses from or from the lab" - Nic Malec, Graduate

The day before graduation, our graduates and their families joined us for a special cap & gown pickup event/celebration filled with joy, laughter, and community. Students received their caps and gowns, enjoyed delicious tacos and aguas frescas from La Auténtica Poblana, and celebrated alongside family and friends.

We were honored to welcome Danza Azteca Xochiquetzal for a beautiful live performance, featuring one of our very own Pathways graduates! Their energy and talent made the celebration even more memorable.

It was wonderful to see families gathering together, sharing a meal, taking photos, and celebrating this important milestone. The excitement, pride, and happiness throughout the day reminded us what makes the Pathways community so special.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We loved celebrating with you and your loved ones
