Prayers for our nation
You Are Our Never-ending PeaceWritten by Maggie McKneely, CWA Legislative Strategist
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6
Father,
Author of the beginning and end of all things. While the troubles of this world unsettle us and make us anxious, may we not let them distract us from Your unchanging goodness. May we find rest in Your never-ending peace amid political turmoil. And may we know that whatever happens in 39 days, it is for the good of Your people and for Your Kingdom.
But let us also not become complacent, that even though we know that the outcome is ultimately in Your hands, may we continue to speak the Truth and encourage others to choose righteousness, never tiring of the work that You have called us to do. And most of all, pray and cast our vote in the election.
Thank You for always being our guiding light and firm foundation.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen

We have men from our weekly bible studies who are getting their first apartments when leaving the halfway house. If you or someone you know has some un-needed furniture that you'd like to donate before the end of the year, it will be a nice write-off on your 2011 taxes. Please contact Candy Kane who is coordinating the furnishings at 303-498-0106. God Bless and Merry Christmas!!

We are seeing a trend in "homelessness" going in the "wrong" direction here in America....

God is so good. Ask and you shall receive!! Cheri was at one of our halfway houses Friday night doing 321 Community Bible Studies when an older gentleman walked up to her with $20 and said he wanted to help someone have a turkey this year. He had no way of knowing what we were doing...he just had a desire to help, saw her there and acted!! A young family is collecting coats and will meet us there to hand them out and give Thanksgiving blessings!! God is good!

We will be delivering Turkey Dinners again this year to the Allison House Apartments. THey house mostly veterans who were homeless, but now with the help of the VA are living in these transitional apartments. We believe they can be honored and thanked for their service to our country by helping them have a delicious Turkey Dinner. We have enough collected for 6 Turkey dinners. We still need 5 more at $40. If you want to help with that, please let us know.
