Aipac (American Indian Parent Advisory Committee)

Aipac (American Indian Parent Advisory Committee) AIPAC is a non-profit parent organization helping Native students within the Adams 12 district. All Title VI grants require a parent committee.

We are the parent committee for the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Native Education Program. We promote education and culture within all grades k-12. We invite you to join us if you have a native student attending a school in the Adams 12 Five Star School District. The dropout rate for American Indian and Alaskan Native students is twice that of non-Native students; the highest dropout rate of any Uni

ted States ethnic or racial group. Academically capable Native students often drop out of school (on reservations and in cities) because their needs are not met, while others are pushed out because of unequal treatment. AIPAC activities may include tutoring, cultural education, and attendance to additional education and cultural related activities. Please remember to come to our upcoming event, Pizza and Postsecondary Options with Porfidia on Tuesday, August 25th starting at 6:00pm here at the ESC (1500 E. 128th Ave, Thornton)!! Porfidia Beuke is the Student Transition Coordinator/Concurrent Enrollment expert here at the district and is amazing! You are encouraged to come to find out about all the wonderful options that Adams 12 has for our students to help them in their lives and careers after high school. These are ways to get FREE postsecondary classes and certifications while a student in Adams 12 schools, which can set young people up for great success and less debt before they enter the workforce! Pizza and salad will be served.

Colorado has programs to help make postsecondary education affordable for all students.

Colorado Promise reimburses eligible students for tuition and fees paid out-of-pocket during their first 65 credits. Students must have a family income less than $90,000, complete a FAFSA or CASFA, and attend a Colorado public college or university to qualify.

Welcome Back Families !

We usually meet the second Wednesday of each month, but this month we’re giving everyone grace to settle into the new school routine before we gather. Watch this space for our exact August date and time!

Whether you’re new to the district or you’ve been with us for years, all parents, guardians, and families of American Indian and Alaska Native students are welcome. Come share food, connect with other families, and learn how AIPAC supports our children through the Title VI Native American Education Program.

📋 We’ll also have applications on hand at the meeting. If you haven’t already completed the Title VI Student Eligibility Certification (ED 506 form) for your child at registration, come fill one out with us. This form is what allows your student to be counted for Title VI funding, which directly supports programming for our Native students.
