Thornton Taekwon-Do

I received word that one of my seniors in TKD is a little upset that I am not making this public. I've told my family. For now I'll just give a hint to my TKD family.

I received my testing packet for this September.

Still don't have my mind wrapped around it.

Black Belt test on June 13th. All students are expected to attend. Red and up need to wear their dress blues!

The Maestas Team Challenge is this Saturday the 19th. Those who are not competing can still show up and cheer on their classmates. For those who are competing, remember the following:
* Be at the Apex Center no later than 7:30 am.
* Check-in for the tournament before going down the gym (usually upstairs). This is where you get your wrist band for the day.
* Referee's sign in upstairs as well.
* Check-in with Mrs. Ludwig when you get down to the gym.
* Students should stay together, especially newer students. Keep gear in the same area in the back gym.
* Students should sit together in the stands. Family and friends can sit with you.
* Listen for announcements and your name. Your instructors are likely going to be working the tournament as well. It is your responsibility to listen and ask questions if necessary.
* Students are expected to stay until the tournament is finished. If someone needs to leave early, they need to check-out with Mr. Fitch or one of of the assistant instructors.
* We will take a group picture at the beginning of the tournament and another at the end of the tournament.

Good sportsmanship is required of EVERYONE including spectators. If you have questions, ask them respectfully. See you all there!

Class for Thursday March 14th has been cancelled by the City. The Community Center has no power.

It can be said that I had a pretty good weekend.

I did not to wait until Tuesday class to post this. I have shared quite a few pictures from today's tournament. I am so proud of all of our competitors! They all did a great job, whether they took home medals or not. Our competing students were Mr. Argarwal, Mr. Jackson, Miss Martinez, Mr. Sweat, Miss Bautista, Miss Mehta, Mr. McLaughlin, Miss Grumet, and Miss Sweat. Remember to bring all your medals to class on Tuesday!
