Thorndale bass club will hold its information / registration meeting on August 4 at 7:30 following high school’s freshman orientation meeting. The meeting will be held in the new high school cafeteria. Members will be asked to complete their yearly paperwork, receive sponsorship letters, and pay yearly dues.

UPDATE: Due to a conflict with a volleyball parent meeting there have been some changes - the volleyball meeting will be at 5:30 PM and Freshman Orientation will begin at 6:30 PM.

This is a great opportunity to meet staff learn about high school expectations and get ready for an exciting year at THS.

Important Reminders
✅ All students must complete Online Student Registration and the Child Nutrition Application before the first day of school.
✅ Student schedules may be picked up at Orientation once all required registration forms have been completed.

Thorndale FFA was proudly represented by 18 members at the Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth, held July 6–10. 💛💙

The week began with nine members earning their prestigious Lone Star Degree, one of the highest honors bestowed by the Texas FFA Association.

Throughout the convention, Riley Clinard served as an Area XII Officer, representing the area delegation. Riley had the opportunity to present a proposal from the convention floor to an audience of more than 12,000 attendees during the business session and introduced the Area XII delegation during a general session.

In addition to participating in the convention's general sessions, members explored the exhibit hall, attended leadership workshops, and connected with FFA members from across the state. The week also included memorable experiences at the Aaron Watson concert and Fun Night, where students enjoyed performances showcasing talent from FFA members throughout Texas.

🎶 Our Band Needs You! 🎶

A strong Band Booster is essential to the success of our band program. Booster support helps provide instruments, uniforms, travel, clinics, equipment, and other opportunities for our students. Without enough members and an active board, we can’t continue offering the same level of support.

We’re looking for parents and supporters to help fill several open positions. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to help!

June has been full of growth and planning for Thorndale FFA! Riley Clinard, Chapter President and Area XII officer, spent most of June developing leadership skills—both her own and those of other officers—at the State Leadership Camp, Area Leadership Camp, and District Leadership Camp. Our chapter officers also held planning sessions to prepare for the year ahead. Additionally, chapter members had a wonderful time volunteering and serving at the TVFD Cook-Off, helping in the judging room.
