Second graders in Miss Adkins’ class are learning about Georgia leaders! Students explored the roles of the President, Governor, and Mayor and worked in groups to identify the different responsibilities of each leader. They then sorted the duties into the correct category, putting their teamwork and civic knowledge to work! 🇺🇸

Students in Miss Bentley’s class have been strengthening their phonics skills by practicing how to identify and sort open and closed syllables. They put their learning into action by applying these skills while reading a decodable text! 📚

Students in Ms. Cole’s class practiced counting and subitizing using dot cards today. They identified the number of dots and then built a tower to match. A fun, hands-on way to strengthen number sense and counting skills! 🤩

During their morning meeting, students in Mrs. Cody’s Pre-K class practice using the calendar, identify the day and date, and observe and discuss the weather. What a great way to start the day! ☀️🌧️

2nd and 3rd grade parents, be on the lookout for a packet about Choir in your child’s notebook! The completed permission form AND the $20 choir fee is due by August 26! 🎶

Music class with Mr. Morris is already off to a great start! During these first few days of music, our students have been learning to sing, move, and dance along with the music. 🎶

Tonight, we will have Parent Orientation for our 1st and 2nd grade students. Orientation for 1st grade will be held at 5:30 and 2nd grade will be held at 6:00.
