Introducing Ledgemont Heritage Day: August 21, 2026

As many of you know, (especially community members in Thompson + Montville), GCA lives in a place that is rich in history and community. It is our mission to continue that legacy by creating Ledgemont Heritage Day.

Our goal is to reconnect people, celebrate memories, and show that the Ledgemont legacy continues to be cared for within the walls of our school.

Please join us and walk through the halls that housed so many memories, and help us in ensuring the buildings history and its impact lives on. Feel free to bring things from Ledgemont to share and help GCA honor the school that impacted so many lives.

Today we celebrated a very special milestone—Prekindergarten Graduation at Global Connection Academy!

Our youngest learners have grown so much this year, building the foundation for a lifetime of success. Through our core pillars of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Global Citizenship, and Innovation, these students have learned to explore, create, collaborate, and lead with confidence.

We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see them continue their journey as lifelong learners. Congratulations to our Pre-K graduates and their families on this exciting achievement!

The Global Critter Club had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to make it official! Mrs. Sulecki and the Intermediate I students have been working hard to make this a special learning and discovery classroom for the whole school.

Students can visit and care for live animals as well as role-play as veterinarians, scientists, researchers, groomers, and more! They can use real tools like stethoscopes, microscopes, and light trays to examine x-rays.

This will also be a gathering space for life science lessons and special visits from other “critters”! We are so excited to use this space even more next year!

The Chess Club, led by Mr. Sulecki, successfully organized its inaugural double-elimination tournament. Students in grades 3-8 participated, and Brady emerged as the first champion. Throughout the year, students have been learning and refining their chess skills, with coaching provided along the way. The club even has its own designated chess den for practice. Congratulations to the Geckos!

In addition to producing the Gecko Morning Announcements, our media crew students also create and distribute the Gecko Gazette, serving as reporters, writers, editors, photographers, designers and more. They even copy and distribute the paper throughout the school.

Aloha! Mrs. DeMastery and the GCA second-grade class would like to share their exciting celebration! 🌺 The students enjoyed a fun-filled day of Hawaiian-themed activities, including special attire, treats, autograph beach balls, the limbo, dancing, and more! 🏖️
