Fairy Potions🧚

Today our Balsam friends were little fairy potion makers! Children explored color mixing by combining colored water and creating magical potions with flowers, leaves, and other nature treasures.

As they mixed and poured, they observed how colors changed and used their imaginations to create special fairy recipes. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and early science skills…

And a little bit of magic 🪄

A perfect example of experiential learning in action! 🌿🐍

This week, after reading about garter snakes, our children headed into the forest and discovered a tiny one! Thanks to the story they had just enjoyed, they immediately identified the snake with excitement.

Ms. Jessye gently caught it so the other classes could observe it up close before safely returning it to its home.

There’s no better classroom than nature. 💚

🏕️☀️ We had the perfect mid-July week at The White Barn with our camping theme! The children loved building and playing in classroom tents, using their imaginations for camping adventures. A favorite activity was making solar s’mores using recycled materials and the sun’s rays to create a tasty treat while learning about science and sustainability. 🍫🌞

📚🌿 We also enjoyed our outdoor reading nook, complete with our little library box. Reading outside is a wonderful way to encourage literacy, spark imagination, and foster a love of books while enjoying the fresh air! 💚📖

⚽️ What an awesome week of World Cup Soccer at the White Barn! 🌎

Our players had a blast learning and growing through fun drills that focused on speed, agility, mobility, ball skills, passing, and shooting. They worked hard!

We wrapped the week up with exciting mini games, where everyone had a chance to put their new skills into action. It was so much fun watching their confidence grow and seeing so many smiles on the field!

Thank you to Spirit of Liverpool USA & Five Star Soccer Academy for lending us equipment to make the week successful. ⚽

We beat the heat!!!!

We love ALL weather and outdoor play, but we also have a lovely building for reprieve in these extreme temps.

Two Thursdays ago, we celebrated our largest graduating class in White Barn history, as 26 incredible children crossed the stage surrounded by a room full of proud families and friends. Wearing beautiful flower crowns and beaming with confidence, each child was recognized for the unique gifts they brought to our community. Some of these children have been with us since they were three years old, while others joined us more recently, but each one has left a special mark on our hearts.

This group of graduates has amazed us with their curiosity, creativity, and growing ability to solve problems independently. We have watched them learn, explore, build friendships, and gain confidence in themselves, and we could not be more proud of who they have become. While we will miss them dearly, we are excited to see all the wonderful things they will accomplish as they begin their kindergarten journey.

Congratulations, Class of 2026—we are cheering you on every step of the way! 💚🎓🌿
