📱 Attention Yellow Jacket Families
Georgia recently expanded its Distraction-Free Education Act, which implements bell-to-bell bans on personal electronic devices for students in grades 9-12.
To support a distraction-free learning environment, Thomas County Schools students in Pre-K through 12th grade may not use personal electronic devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and similar devices—during the school day while on campus.
✅ Exceptions will be made for students with documented needs through an IEP, 504 Plan, or medical plan when a personal electronic device is required for medical or educational purposes.
For emergencies or messages, please contact the school office directly.

Summer school begins next week!
Classes start Tuesday, May 26 and runs through Thursday, June 4, from 8 AM to 12 PM (free breakfast and lunch included). Milestones will be administered the following week. Students are eligible for summer school if they have at least a 60 and may take up to two classes. See the attached flyer for more details.
