8th grade students in Mrs. Robertson’s math class recently took a glimpse into their future through a real-world budgeting project! 💵📊
Using their math skills, students explored what it truly costs to live independently by creating a monthly and yearly budget based on a career salary. One unique twist — their salary and level of education were determined by their first nine weeks math grade, showing students the importance of hard work and academic success.
Throughout the project, students had to budget for:
🏠 Housing
🚗 Transportation, insurance, registration, and vehicle maintenance
🛒 Food and groceries
👔 Clothing appropriate for their career
💡 Utilities
🎬 Entertainment and everyday expenses
This hands-on project allowed students to apply math to real-life situations while gaining a deeper understanding of financial responsibility, decision-making, and future planning. Great job, students!

From baby faces to future graduates… our eighth graders will always be our “seniors” on campus! 💙💛
A huge thank you to Mrs. Watson for creating such a special video featuring our students’ baby pictures alongside their current photos. Watching how much they’ve grown reminds us just how quickly these years fly by!
As they prepare to move across the street to the high school, we couldn’t be prouder of the amazing young people they have become. Once a TCMS student, always part of the TCMS family! 🎓✨

History came to life for our National Junior Honor Society students during their unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸✨
Students had an incredible time exploring some of our nation’s most iconic historical landmarks, including the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, The People’s House, and the National Archives — along with many other amazing sites throughout the trip. 🏛️📜
From walking through history to making lifelong memories with friends, this educational adventure was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We are so proud of our NJHS students for representing TCMS so well while learning more about our nation’s history and leadership. 💙💛
