Summer fun is in full swing! ☀️😎

Many of our students have already enjoyed an exciting summer filled with new experiences, adventures, and friendships. From exploring unique destinations and meeting amazing animals to splashing in the pool and spending time outdoors, these campers have made the most of their summer so far.

We're so happy to see our students learning, growing, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. We hope everyone is having a fantastic summer break!

Our instructional coaches recently attended the three-day Instructional Coaches Conference at Jekyll Island, hosted by Middle Georgia RESA.

Throughout the conference, coaches had the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized instructional coaching expert Jim Knight and several other keynote speakers. They also participated in breakout sessions focused on strengthening their coaching practices and explored resources from curriculum sponsors.

We are proud of our coaches' commitment to continuous learning as they work to support teachers and improve student achievement across Thomas County Schools.

Congratulations to Allison NeSmith, Athletic Coordinator for Female Sports at Thomas County Central High School, on being recognized at the Georgia State Capitol as a Georgia Market winner by the Positive Athlete Award program! 🎉

Mrs. NeSmith was honored as a "shining light" who has successfully transitioned from coach to administrator while continuing to empower student-athletes through grace, integrity, and a servant's heart.

Positive Athlete is a national organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of positivity through awards, scholarships, and special opportunities for students and educators.

We are proud of Mrs. NeSmith for being such a positive influence and outstanding representative for our student-athletes. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

➡Children accompanied by an adult can enjoy a showing of the movie DOG MAN.

🚧 The Dust Will Settle, the Improvements Will Last 🚧

Renovations are also underway at Thomas County Middle School! This summer, crews are refreshing the school with new paint, flooring, lighting, and updated ceilings to create bright, clean, and welcoming learning spaces for students and staff.

These upgrades build on the momentum of last year's cafeteria renovation and include a complete refresh of the media center, featuring a modernized classroom area and a versatile new lighting system.

We are grateful for the continued support that makes these improvements possible. The work happening today will have a lasting impact on our students for years to come.

Please note that during construction, Thomas County Middle School office staff and administrators are temporarily housed in the Pathways Admin building on the Board of Education campus.
