📣 The Thomas County School System is initiating a strategic planning process and invites you to participate! It is vital that we hear from our stakeholders to help us identify the priorities that will guide Thomas County Schools in the years ahead.

What: A Community Engagement Session to gather input from parents, citizens, ​school system employees and high school students
When: ​Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Thomas County Central High School Cafeteria
Who: All Thomas County Schools' stakeholders are invited to participate

An online survey will be available for those who can't attend the meeting. A link to the survey will appear on the district's website the day following the meeting.

Brains, buzzers and a 3rd-place finish! 🧠🏆

The TCCHS Quiz Bowl team placed 3rd at the GATA Fall Southern Tournament in Tifton this past Saturday! With that finish, the team will advance to state qualifiers.

Congratulations to seniors Anaya Patel and Ta’Nya White and juniors Beau Brinson, Trenton Connell and Thomas Johnson!

Ready for a rewarding job with great support? Thomas County Schools is offering FREE CDL classes and training for school bus drivers, with the next class beginning Monday, September 28!

We’re also hiring bus monitors to help keep our students safe.

🍑 Taking Rural Education to the Next Level!

Our very own Dr. Farran Burnette, a Teach in the Peach Ambassador, recently shared her expertise at the Rural Education & Innovation Fall Summit in Tifton, Georgia.

This year’s theme, “Rethinking What Rural Can Do: Rural Solutions, Real Impact,” brought educators and leaders together to share ideas and explore innovative ways to strengthen rural education.

We’re proud to see Dr. Burnette representing Thomas County Schools and sharing the great things happening in rural education! 💙💛
