Through a partnership with Thomas County Academy, our Middle and High School students get to participate in Drama class with Mrs. Gabrielle McMullen. Today, our middle schoolers put on a presentation of what they have been working on for our elementary and high school kids. A great job was done by all, and it was very enjoyable to watch them in action. Special thanks to Mrs. McMullen for all of her work with our students!

Staff Spotlight-Mrs. Brooke Wingate

In case you haven't picked up on the theme, the staff at Pathways serve many roles for our program, and Mrs. Wingate is certainly no different. She spends about half her day in the lower elementary class and the other half teaching social skills lessons to all grade levels. She is one of our Mindset trainers, our PBIS coordinator, leads our Student of the Week assemblies, and probably several other things I haven't listed. She does it all with a bright and positive demeanor, and we are so thankful to have her. Thank you for all you do every day!

Staff Spotlight-Ms. Dorothy Carter

Ms. Carter is another one of the Pathways O.Gs. She has been here for at least the past 18 years. Ms. Carter brings a quiet but calm, firm, and consistent presence to our kids, serving in our Upper Elementary class. We are so thankful for her dedication and for being the model of consistency that she is. She truly does whatever it takes to get the job done and help Pathways run as smoothly as possible. Rumor has it that she has sold the winning raffle ticket for our 50/50 raffle for the past two years, so you may want to reach out to her and buy a few tickets to increase your chances of winning.

Congratulations to our Student of the Week, Messiah!!! We are so proud of him and the growth and turnaround he has shown over the past couple of weeks. He worked hard and earned this recognition!
Our elementary class had their first therapeutic horseback riding session at Hands and Hearts for Horses and one of them really faced his fears.
We finished it all off with a tailgate party for our Fun Friday.
We look forward to sharpening our axes this weekend and another great week next week!

Staff Spotlight-Ms. Nicole Brooks

Ms. Brooks is another one of our long-time Pathways employees. Ms. Brooks wears a lot of hats at Pathways; thankfully, none of them are her Gator hats. Despite her choice of college teams, she supports our staff and students in several ways, including manning the front office, spending time in our elementary class, helping out with Intensive Interventions when needed, making hot dogs for Fun Friday, and probably most importantly is keeping our Director straight, which is a full-time job by itself. We are thankful for all she does for us!

Staff Spotlight-Mary Dennis, School Social Worked

We continue to highlight our support staff with Ms. Dennis. She has the true heart of a Social Worker. Mary is always putting others first. She goes above and beyond to make sure the needs of our students, families, and staff are met. I won’t even try to list all of the things she does for us and truthfully she probably does a lot more than any of us know. She is an unsung hero, but today we sing her praises. We are beyond thankful for all she does and blessed to have her.
