📢 Back-to-School Parking Reminders – Important Info for Tomorrow!
As we prepare to welcome students back Monday, August 4, please take a moment to review our parking guidelines to help ensure a smooth and safe start:
🚗 Student Parking
• Park in the lot between the stadium and the new gym
• If full, use the visitor side of the stadium lot—only in rows closest to the stadium
• Do NOT park along Glenwood Drive
👩🏫 MPMS Teachers
• Please avoid parking at the bottom of the hill in the new lot
👨🏫 THS Teachers & Staff
• Park near the 6000 building entrance
• Be mindful—this area also serves as the bus entrance/exit
🏫 Admin, Visitors, & Parent Drop-Off
• Use the new front circle off Washington Street for admin/visitor parking and parent drop-off/pick-up
🚫 Glenwood Drive Reminder
• Teachers may park on the opposite side of the street from the school only
• No student parking allowed on Glenwood Drive

Even though it’s the last week of school, we’re hard at work preparing for a stronger start in the fall—and that includes rolling out our NEW communication tool: Rooms!
🗣️ Rooms is designed to keep families and teachers connected more than ever before—all through the TCS district app. 📲
👉 While many teachers are still using Remind to finish out the year, some have already started using Rooms to get a head start!

🏗️✨ We're Almost There!
As we count down to the opening of our brand-new 6–12 campus, we’re excited to welcome families to Open House this Friday at 5:00PM!
Please excuse the dust as we put the final touches on the buildings. Friday’s Open House experience may look a little different than what students will see on the first day of school—but rest assured, our construction and cleaning crews are working around the clock to have everything ready by Monday.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepare to open the doors to a new chapter of learning and opportunity. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!

📢 THS/SA Open House Time Change
We’re putting the final touches on our new 6–12 campus, and we can’t wait to welcome students and families! To help ensure a smoother transition, the High School and Scholars Academy Open House on Friday, August 1st has been rescheduled to 5:00–7:00 PM (originally scheduled for 1:00–3:00 PM).
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support as we prepare for an exciting new school year. We look forward to seeing you there!

🚀 Smart Manufacturing Is LIVE at Thomasville City Schools!
Thomasville High School just commissioned its first smart manufacturing machine — a HUGE step forward in preparing our students for high-tech careers in advanced manufacturing and engineering. 👷♂️🤖
Thanks to powerful partnerships with Georgia Tech, Georgia AIM, and local industry leaders, our students will gain hands-on experience, earn industry certifications, and access internship and job opportunities starting in the 2025–2026 school year.
This is more than just a machine — it’s the future of workforce development right here in Thomasville! 🔧📈
