Join the Minnesota Historical Society: Northern Lights Revision Team to explore the new third edition curriculum elements! 🤩

They will be reviewing changes made to the student text, orienting to the scope and sequence tools in the Annotated Teachers Edition, and identifying benchmark alignment and assessment in the provided Learning Activities. Connections to local history will be included, as well as pathways for support during curriculum implementation. 🙌

The Northwest Service Cooperative (NWSC) will be sponsoring School Finance Workshops for all new Superintendents, aspiring Superintendents, Principals, Business Managers, Bookkeepers, School Board Members or anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of Minnesota school finance. 📊

Dates: Monday, July 13th, Monday July 20th, Monday August 3rd, September 1/2 day TBD

The Northwest Service Cooperative is happy to introduce a new workshop in partnership with Sanford TRF! Working with children every day comes with great responsibility. To support school staff in being prepared for emergencies, we are offering a BLS/AED Training to help individuals in your district become certified in Basic Life Support and AED use. 😊👩‍⚕️

Location: Sanford Behavioral Health, 102 Labree Ave S, Thief River Falls, MN 56701
Time: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, June 30th, 2026
Cost: $100.00 per person (class is capped at 10 participants)

Sanford follows the American Heart Association guidelines and certification which is good for 24 months.

The Northwest Service Cooperative is excited to be hosting our annual Paraprofessional Development Day on August 20th, 2026, in partnership with ASEC, TRF School District, and NWRIC. This event will be offered virtually and is for all paraprofessionals. 🙌

When: Thursday, August 20th, 2026
Where: VIRTUAL EVENT - Zoom links will be sent out a week before the event
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cost: $45 early fee April 8th - July 17th
$50 late registration fee July 18th - September 30th
*There is a cap of $2500.00/district. Your district will be billed after the training.
(You must individually sign up, not as one school)

Topics of Sessions:
1. Academic Supports and Partnering with Teachers with Holle Spessard, SCSC.
2. Anxiety and Mental Wellness: Students and Teachers with Kathy Magnusson, Wildewood Learning.
