Northwest Area Learning Center The Alternative School for the Thief River Falls School District servicing high school students who

The Northwest Area Learning Center is an alternative school for students ages 16-20. Students who graduate from the NwALC receive a high school diploma from Lincoln High School and the Thief River Falls School District. The school is an in person learning option for students who are behind on credits, are pregnant or are parents already, or who suffer from a diagnosed mental health condition.
