Today was bittersweet.

After 34 years at Nicholls, 15 of them in the Dyslexia Center, Mrs. Sue Sternfels Benoit is officially retired!

Mrs. Sue has been a real asset to our department. We always knew the job was done, the students were cared for, and that she had the backs of her co-workers. She's been a mentor, a shoulder to lean on, and the one person we could count on to keep things running smoothly.

We don't know how we'll do this without you, but we are so happy for you to explore the next chapter of your life.

Happy retirement, Sue! You deserve it!

Today at the Dyslexia Center orientation, senior Tank Nelson took a group of students to tour Talbot Hall.

Freshman Frank Thevenot, a culinary student, got the opportunity to go live on the air at KNSU Radio here on the Nicholls campus.

This experience highlights some of the great things about Nicholls State University and the Dyslexia Center - a community and opportunity!
