The Wm. Clifford Smith School of Engineering and Geomatics program had the opportunity to attend the Bayou Business Summit, hosted by COLAB | Bayou Region!

We were there to highlight one of the most in-demand degrees in the region. Louisiana workforce data shows a massive demand for skilled geomatics & engineering professionals every single year!

From operating 3D laser scanners and total stations to piloting mapping drones, our students graduate ready to work and contribute to the economic engines here in South Louisiana!

Spent the weekend at Tygart Dam serving as a judge for the ASCE - UESI Surveying Competition!

It was a privilege to evaluate such dedicated student teams as they put their field skills and data-crunching to the test. Impressive teamwork, great problem-solving, and a beautiful backdrop for some top-tier surveying!
