May Chef Kozar rest in peace 🙏🏻❤️
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Chef John Kozar, a highly valued member of the CJFCI family. He was a longtime colleague and mentor, and he will be sorely missed in the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute. John educated culinarians for over 20 years at CJFCI. His loss will be felt by all who knew and worked with him. May his family and friends find comfort in knowing the impact he had on so many students' lives. Everyone at CJFCI and Nicholls State University extend our deepest condolences to his family.

First baking day in my culinary class. My partner and I made Cathead Biscuits! We pared it with a Cinnamon Honey Butter. We also added some honey drizzle on the biscuit and the plate.🫶🏼 Keep tuned for the one armed baking classes. 😂🫣

This weekend I had a cousin come into town and asked for me to make her something with Chocolate, Brownie, and Reese’s. So I made a Chocolate Reese Brownie Cheesecake! I’m not a big Pastry person but I like trying new stuff. (Also I made a homemade whip cream to go on top 😁)

-My name is Tika Naquin
-I am 21 years old
-I attended Nicholls State University and I am going to get a bachelors degree in Culinary Arts
-I have one older sister and she gave birth to my two amazing godchildren.
-I am born and raised in Lockport, Louisiana
-My goal after college is to go into a good restaurant and learn as much as I can and hopefully in the future open my own restaurant!
-I absolutely love to cook. I also bake.
-I have an amazing boyfriend I can ever ask for.
-As of now I work at Central Sno
-I love animals and I have a dog
-Besides working and school I like to hang with friends and family.
-I am always looking to help and work with anybody.

Hey everybody!! Tomorrow afternoon my retail baking day for my class. From 4:00pm till 6:00pm! It is my friend and I’s day! What that means is we created the menu and got the recipes together! This is the menu and I hope y’all can come out and support us! It is in the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute building at Nicholls State University.
