SCHOOL UPDATE — FRIDAY CLOSURE

Lighthouse Baptist Academy will be closed this Friday.

Friday was already scheduled as a half-day on our school calendar, and with Mobile County Public Schools announcing their closure due to the potential impact of “Hurricane” Isaias, we have decided that closing for the day is the wisest course for our school families as well.

As we watch the weather over the next few days, we encourage each of our families to stay informed and make the decisions that are best and safest for your individual circumstances. We are praying for the Lord’s protection over our families and our entire community as the storm approaches.

Lighthouse Baptist Academy will be OPEN tomorrow (Thursday) and will operate on our normal schedule.

Please stay safe, and we will continue to communicate any additional information as needed.

Our Ambassadors soccer team also competed hard throughout the tournament, and we’re proud of the way our guys represented Lighthouse on and off the field.

Happy International Coffee Day! ☕️

We had a little fun today treating our LBA teachers to Starbucks! Our faculty gives so much time, energy, care, and heart to our students every day, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to show them a little appreciation.

We are incredibly grateful for the teachers who help make Lighthouse Baptist Academy Distinctively Christian and Academically Excellent.

Enjoy the coffee, teachers! ☕️❤️

❤️Today, Heart for Athletes came to our school and provided ECG screenings for our athletes! We are so thankful for their time and commitment to helping keep our students safe and healthy.

Students also had the opportunity to receive valuable CPR training, giving them important skills that could one day help save a life!

Thank you, Heart for Athletes, for investing in the health and safety of our students! ❤️

Today, our students gathered at the front of our school to pray for our school, our country, our families, and our teachers.

Across the nation today, students are uniting in prayer, lifting up their schools, families, teachers, communities, and country before the Lord. What a blessing it is to see our students come together and recognize the power of prayer!

May we continue to seek the Lord and keep prayer at the heart of our school.
