Students in
class work on a RACE response. They discuss the question and answer, cite evidence, and explain. High quality initial instruction and rigor are evident each day in her class.
Today we are celebrating these two
students, Carter and Cameron, who were caught picking up trash in the cafeteria. An awesome example of our COOG6 core values of service and integrity, and tags for their lanyards.
We had a wonderful first week of school, and we are so excited for week two! Don't forget we have open houses this week.

This week is Tomball Reads Week! Join us in sharing our love of reading!
8th grade CPJH student, Ishika Varipilla, won the Houston Community College Scripps Spelling Bee on March 23. Her winning word was "scrannel." We are beyond proud of her! She will move on to Nationals in Washington, D.C. on May 28. Best of luck!!
March 20th will be spirit night at Marco's. When ordering, students just mention their CPJH Cougar Den teacher. Whatever teacher gets the most wins a pizza party for their den.
CPJH student, Kamber Bailey, and her rabbit, Marshmallow, won 6th place at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! Kamber - all of your hard work paid off. Way to go!
Micah Xie, CPJH 7th grader, competed at the 55th USA Archery Indoor Nationals (a 3-day tournament) at College Station this past weekend. He did exceptionally well and ended up placing 1st at the College Station Sectional and 2nd overall in the nation. Such a great accomplishment!
6th grader, Vihaan Shah, won second place in biomedical engineering at the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston. Way to go!
8th grader, Sana Kale, won first place in mathematics at the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston. Congrats!
“Please join the TISD Guidance & Counseling Department for our Inaugural Mental Health and Wellness Fair on Tuesday, March 26, 5:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. @ the Tomball Event Center. The Fair will feature representatives from community providers to help students, families, and staff maximize mental health and wellness. We will have door prizes and local food trucks to enjoy!”
