Bach Suite No. 1 Prelude

I love Elise plays this piece. I have so many students play this music, however, her sound and motion are different from others. When she plays this music at the lesson, I can feel her peaceful heart.

Thank you for bringing us so beautiful MElODY in Saturday morning.

For the new semester... I have adjusted the set up in my studio to enhance the professional online lesson experience. Now, I can more clearly demonstrate lessons to my students, I really enjoy my teaching job.

Caroline and Daniel attend Suzuki Cello Virtual PlayIN with Philadelphia Orchestra Assistant Principal cello, Yumi Kendall this morning. There are 160 kids played together in Zoom. That is a really good music activity for my students.

Joyce plays Children at play from Suzuki book 2. Good tempo, good posture, and good hands position! 👍

This is Grace and she is 4 years old. She has been taking online lessons for about three months. At first I have a little worried if online lessons we're a good fit for 4 years old student? Graces lessons could had a challenging start. It’s hard for 4 years old kids to stay focused for a full 30 mins lessons. She only can pay attention around 10 or 15 minutes, then she wants to do other things. I totally understand that it is definitely tough for young kids. Grace has an older sister and I asked her mom can I split the time, and teach Grace and her sister for 15 minutes each. Because for young kids they really have a lot of talent for learning. Graces sister demonstrates a lesson for Grace to understand. After that, Grace has rapidly progressed in her music. I am so happy and proud of her.

Some people are hesitant to attempt online lessons and feel they could not understand the teaching points. Also, online lessons are easy to quit. However, I feel even more confident in online lessons now. If a young kid can do it, anyone can!

[07/24/20]   I had feelings of emotions today when delivering trophies to my students' homes. Some of my students live further away than I had realized. Before, students would come to my studio every week, but now COVID-19 has changed our daily lives and schedules. I have not seen students in-person for almost four months, because we only meet for online lessons. We don't know when COVID-19 will finish..? But I am very grateful my students and their parents are trusting and supportive of me. As a teacher, I am dedicated to teaching my students. I wish all my students will continue to develop more confidence and happiness in their music lessons.

This picture is from Oliver’s mom. I am so happy to see Oliver working hard to practice for graduation record. He watched one excellent student’s recording and practiced along with her.

Two weeks ago, I asked Oliver can you memorize the whole book? He said, I can't. I told him anyone can do it, as well as you. Finally, he did it! The trophy is ready for him, congratulations. 💐🏆

This summer, we have 10 students preparing to finish Suzuki books 1-3. As their teacher, I am so proud of them.

Ellie is 5 years old and plays the piano for about 7 months. She is so cute and works hard. She loves to play the piano.
Chant Arabe - Ellie

I haven't been seeing my students for almost three months since COVID-19. However, my students still insist on doing online graduation recording. They are working hard, practicing often, and deserve the honor 🏆.

Joyce is so talented. She will finish the Suzuki book 1 this summer. And she just plays the piano around 10 months.

Ave Maria - Charles Goudon (1818-1893)

As a cellist and piano instructor, I really want to perform some pieces both by myself. I recorded this video in Dallas 'getaway tiny cabin', a wonderful trip and recording process. Just finished editing the music video this month.
Hope you enjoy it!

For now, all of the music teachers are doing online lessons. How can we do a lively and quality online music lesson? That is my plan!

I am so productive recently. Memories this special moment forever!

COVID-19 disrupts our life. However, the sun also rises! We couldn't give up practicing! And I am trying the best online teaching every day! I just really miss my students! ❤️❤️❤️
