Day 2 of our Bees visit was buzz, buzz, buzz- worthy!

Thank you, Ms. Ally, hip, hip hooray!
You help the bees work and play.
You give them hives, you keep them fed,
You tuck them in their flower bed.
You wear a suit and big round hat,
And care for bees—imagine that!
They make us honey, smooth and sweet,
The yummiest little golden treat!
We're glad you help the bees all year,
So here's a hug and a big cheer!
Buzz, buzz, buzz-we say to you,

Day 1 with was
bee-buzzing good!

We had such a sweet time learning about our bee friends; it was buzz-worthy. We’ll never look at a flower or a jar of honey the same way again. Thanks for teaching us all about our buzzing friends!

As we’ve been learning in Chapel and our classroom, a lot CAN happen in a week.

We know Jesus loved everyone and He wanted to help the whole world. But some people didn’t understand Jesus’ kindness. Because of this, Jesus died on a cross. They placed Him in a tomb (a big cave) and put a large stone in front. It was a very sad day.

But this story has a happy ending because spoiler alert, three days later, God sent an Angel. The earth shook, the stone rolled away and the tomb was empty! The Angel told Jesus’ friends that He was alive!

This week we focused our learning on the true meaning of Easter. Simply, we celebrate Easter because Jesus loves us, He wants us to tell others about Him and He wants to be our friend forever.

Two weeks ago our friends planted our Resurrection (AKA Love) Garden during Chapel. And wow! All that nurturing love sure made it grow! This month we are discussing the true meaning of Easter. While the Easter Bunny, egg hunts and all things chocolate are awesome we are learning we celebrate Easter because simply, Jesus loves us so much.

Today is a very special day; Palm Sunday. A long time ago, Jesus rode into a city on a little donkey, and all the people were SO excited to see Him! There was a parade, and a party! Wow! They waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna!” That means, “Yay! Jesus is here!”

The people loved Jesus because He was kind, helped others, and showed them how much God loves them. We can be like Jesus and his friends-by showing kindness, helping others, waving our hands, singing songs, and saying, “Thank you, God, for your son Jesus, He is sooooo amazing!”

As we kick off Holy Week, let’s remember: Jesus wants to be our friend forever, and He loves us so, so much!
