Grade 11/12 Grade 9/10 Grade 7/8 A little communication goes a long way! Student's from grade 7-12 undertook class presentations for various subjects, and showcased some of their learning to their parents. This is done every term as we know teens often don't share what they are doing so this gives parents a little taste of student work. We followed this with a parent pot luck and wine night, and games for teens.

Students build a raft for the turtles that live in one of our ponds. The use of tools features in many of our projects and students undergo safety training at the beginning of each year to ensure they understand how to use tools. Cunae has always found that putting tools in the hands of students enhances their confidence which has a runoff effect on their academics.

Sorry for poor quality, but listen to the music 🙂 In the Owl's music class they have been studying the orchestral piece "In the hall of the Mountain King" by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. They considered what methods the composer had used to tell the story through his music - using the concept of Tempo, Dynamics and Instrumentation. They then worked out the rhythmic patterns of the two themes. As a fun conclusion they enjoyed a rhythmic percussion play-along, carefully following their indicated parts - bravo Owls!!!

Some good advice here for parents of teens.
Should your teens be watching 'Euphoria'? And how should you talk to them about it? | CNN Sometimes the shows about teens are not exactly what you want your teens to be watching, and they might be streaming without your knowledge, experts say. You can't always ban the content, but you can open up helpful discussions in your family, they added.
