I needed to collect my thought before I did this post.

Getting this text from Lacey Stephens today was scary. Her having these thoughts, and felt the need to text me this is even scarier.

School needs to be safe space that you shouldn’t have to have the worries. I will say iSchool High of The Woodlands handled it like a pro.
The situation was handled quickly and kids were safe. But that’s not been the case for other kids and parents.

But something has to change. I’m sick of it. I don’t know the right answer (I stand by the second amendment so don’t go all liberal on me), But we need to start coming up with a plan to make a change. Let’s discuss.

1. Starts with parenting
2. Church
3. People need to fear the consequences of breaking the law

Happy last week before break! We got this, team!

Thank you all for your help with toy donations and sending emails and reminders to our school community. Between toy donations in person and through our Amazon registry, we collected 460 toys. Each student at our sister school, Eastex Jensen Classical Academy (PK-8th grade), will receive a gift bundle. This is amazing! Thank you!

This is the breakdown:

Hallway 1- 140 toys collected
Hallway 2- 320 toys collected

Toy Drive competition results:
3rd place: Abella´s homeroom - 80 toys
2nd place- Koehnle´s homeroom - 84 toys
1st place- Matias´ homeroom- 145 toys

NHS will host a cookie party for the 3rd and 2nd place winners and a pizza party for the 1st place winners.

I am sending you the Google Meet information. Please forward it to your homeroom parents and students as soon as possible.

We look forward to our NHS members, iSchool students, and community experiencing the excitement and joy this activity brings those children. It is an opportunity to be thankful and blessed for what we have.
