Fusion Academy is a revolutionary private middle and high school where positive relationships and one-to-one classrooms unlock academic potential.
Fusion Academy is a revolutionary private middle and high school where positive relationships unlock academic potential. We are a non-traditional community of learning with the smallest class size possible: one student and one teacher per classroom. This allows us to personalize and customize curriculum for each student’s unique strengths, interests, and learning style. Our supportive staff and campus environment provide a safe space for students to flourish emotionally, socially, and academically. It includes a state-of-the-art recording studio and a mixed-media art studio for students to express their creativity. Our Homework Café® is where students complete all their homework before they leave for the day with supervision and help from a teacher. Classes are offered at three levels: essential, college prep, and honors. From algebra to yoga and everything in between, we have over 450 courses to choose from. Students can enroll full-time, take classes for credit, or utilize our tutoring services in the Fusion Learning Center. Outside of academics, we partner with outside therapeutic professionals to support students’ emotional health and help foster a balanced life. While it’s impossible to put our students into categories, we generally serve students with the following backgrounds: ADHD, accelerated/gifted learners, dyslexia, dysgraphia and learning differences, social challenges and social anxiety, or students with challenging schedules. Students who attend Fusion Academy have one thing in common: traditional school isn’t working. Learn more at www.FusionTheWoodlands.com.
Mission: It’s our mission to help every kid flourish – emotionally, socially, and academically. We believe that positive relationships are the key to unlocking the potential in every kid. We believe in the power of a one-to-one classroom to ignite a student’s passion for learning. We create a supportive community of learning where kids can find success and connect meaningfully to others. At Fusion, we prepare students to meet the world head on with confidence and competence.

Damon was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Spring, TX in 1990, where he attended school in the Klein ISD district. In 1999, after graduating from Klein High School, he attended University of Texas at Austin (🤘🏼) and participated in the Longhorn Band as a trumpet player for 2 years and taught private lessons to middle school students. This is where he noticed he was good at teaching and would eventually drop his computer science major in favor of a math major. He later would work at Klein as a full-time math teacher for 4 years and then spend 7 years working for Klein Oak high school. During his time at Klein, Damon pursued his master’s degree at A&M. Being a UT grad, his first choice was not to go to A&M, but at the time, they were the only school in the US that had an online master’s degree program for mathematics. Having completed his master’s degree, Damon worked at Lone Star for 2 years teaching college algebra and teaching dual credit college algebra at Klein Oak. Then Damon found Fusion, and has been serving our students powerfully ever since. We love Damon for his math skills and fun t-shirts. Let’s show him some love! #teacherappreciationweek
