5th grade math wrapped their unit on volume by creating a volume zoo! Students worked in small groups to design a zoo animal using rectangular prisms. They created a plan for the types of boxes they would need in order to create this three-dimensional zoo animal. They measured the dimensions of their boxes and found the volume of every box being used, then determined the total volume of their zoo animal!
