90% of your fear is fear of the unknown. Well, I guess I'll be teaching a class soon. This is so true though. I was SO terrified to teach my first Baby Signs storytime. Why? I've been working with children for years. I love what I do. I'm passionate about it. I practice over and over again for my storytimes. Yet I was terrified. It was fear of the unknown. Will people judge me? Will I mess up? Will I blank out and forget the whole lesson? Nope. Nada. Didn't happen. And even if it did it would've been okay! I would've kept going and figured it out. Our biggest fear in starting your own business is fear of the unknown. Will I fail? Will I succeed? Will people like my product/service? Fear of the unknown. I have been hiding behind a wall of fear my whole life. But I'm not going to anymore.

I am not certified in this yet, however this has been on my mind for some time. I want every child in a vehicle safe in a seat made for their age/weight, installed correctly, and worn correctly. I do know basic state laws about car seats, but I would love to take this course to know for sure and be confident in installing seats. It breaks my heart when parents just don't know that their child's straps are too loose. No, your straps will not hurt or pinch them, but they do need to be taut against their body. I'm waiting for them to have a course in Houston, or maybe even the Woodlands, and I'm signing myself up!

Aprils storytimes tomorrow and Tuesday are all planned for and ready to go! Now I'm beginning to plan and get ready for my booth at the Conroe Kidzfest on April 29th! If you're there stop by and check out my booth! They'll be bubbles, a prize drawing, and the kids will learn a few basic signs. Oh and they'll be coloring.

Lesson planning for our April storytimes. I have 2 identical story times this month. This Saturday, the 8th at 9:30 and Tuesday the 11th at 10:30. They will be spring/Easter themed. I know it's been awhile since I've posted about classes. I'm going to have an Easter/spring free play group at Rob Fleming park at 9:30 am on Saturday, April 8th and another one on Tuesday, April 11th at 10:30am. I will also be at Conroe Kids Fest on the 29th. Let me know if you plan on coming!
