MASK UP HIGHLANDERS---Important Reminder!
Over the past several weeks, we have seen an increase in COVID-19 cases among our students. To help keep students in school and slow the spread of COVID-19, masks are essential when interacting with individuals and groups outside of your immediate family. Social distancing and frequent hand washing are also important measures. We all understand the value of social interaction and keeping students in class which is why our partnership is critical.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.
yourconroenews.com The journey continues for The Woodlands tennis program. PLEASE READ: Platform Changes Deadline is 12/1--this is email that will go out again via school messenger.
Students and Parents,
The deadline to request a platform change for 3rd nine week marking period is December 1, 2020.
We must have all requests in by that date because we are making changes to our master schedule for second semester to reflect virtual only sections when possible. What this means is that there may be some teacher changes for students due to a teacher on a grade level/subject team taking on a virtual only section or sections. Most students will keep the same schedule but may only experience a teacher change. If a student's schedule must be changed (other than a teacher change), the counselor will notify that student directly, but these should be very few and far between.
Any student who is on the virtual platform or who changes to the virtual platform for 3rd nine week marking period will be committed to the virtual only platform. There will be no opportunity for students to come and sit in a core academic/foreign language class if they are scheduled in the virtual platform because they will be scheduled in a virtual only section.
Virtual students can still come and participate in extracurricular/elective courses such as sports, fine arts, band/orchestra, choir, CTE, etc. as long as they provide their own transportation; however, the core academic/foreign language courses will be pure virtual or pure in-person based on your chosen learning platform.
As a reminder, once you make your selection for your learning platform for the 3rd nine week marking period, there will be no changes until the final marking period.
If you have questions/concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your counselor.
Congrats Highlander Girls and Boys Track. They dominated the field today! 1st place for both teams and moving on to the State meet in 2 weeks!
Food Drive in progress. Please bring can goods non perishable to your 2nd or 6th block classes. Please help the food insecure. Breakfast to winning classes ❤️💚
Congratulations to TWHS Tennis ---- Woodlands advances to state semifinals
