Congratulations to our very special second member of the week Kariyah P!

Kariyah plays flute and is a member of Concert Band I. Kariyah always comes to sectionals PREPARED and with a POSITIVE and HUMBLE attitude. Kariyah demonstrates LEADERSHIP through her work ethic and her RESPONSIBILITY. Kariyah is KIND and is always willing to help those around her. Way to go Kariyah!

Whenever we started our Fundraiser this year, our brave assistant band directors vowed to the kids that if we met our fundraiser goal, they would shave their facial hair. The kids delivered and today Mr. Ahmed and Mr. Garcia said good bye to their beards!!

This week we are lucky enough to have TWO band members of the week! The first band member of the week is Caleb K! Congratulations Caleb!!

Caleb is a 7th grade Euphonium player in the Wind Ensemble. Caleb actively PARTICIPATES in all rehearsals with a POSITIVE attitude and FOCUS for the task at hand. He is HELPFUL to his section mates and is KIND and POSITIVE. Caleb comes to his private lessons PREPARED and ready to take on the next challenge given to him. Way to go Caleb!

Congratulations to our fantastic students that participated in the Region Band Clinic and Concert this weekend we are so proud of you!!

Congratulations to our member of the week Mikayla G!

Mikayla is a 7th grade Percussionist in the Wind Ensemble. She has shown great WORK ETHIC since the beginning of the school year and continues to work hard. She shows DETERMINATION each week not only in her sectionals but full band rehearsals as well. She ALWAYS comes PREPARED to work with a contagious SMILE on her face! BTW she also has the coolest DOG named BLAZE!

Back in October several of our students participated in the Junior High All Region Band audition process. We wanted to extend a congratulations to all of the following students that earned a chair in the Region Band and to those who placed high enough to earn a chair in the Region Orchestra. You guys rock!!!

The Knox Band would like to thank Willie’s off of 242 for showing our band such great service and hospitality yesterday. Thanks for a great lunch!
