Dear Parents,

We hope this note finds you well and healthy.

Some of you have requested some work to do at home with your kids. Here are some writing hints to help form letters and numbers correctly. These can be done anywhere! Shaving cream on the table, chalk on the driveway, sand in a cookie sheet, just have fun with it!!!

Remember, when working with your child on his/her name, it’s upper case letter, then lower case letters.

Incorrect: DEBBIE

Have fun! We miss you!!!!

Hello Parents,

We hope this email finds you healthy and safe. We have had a fun week. We enjoyed our spirit week this week and next week’s Easter week is going to be so much FUN!

• Reminder: We will be closed next week Friday for Good Friday.
• Next week we will continue to operate 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Thank you to those of you that have reached out to us in support of our teachers. We are still taking this one week and at time and have been billing weekly based on attendance. We appreciate those of you that are still paying some or part of your tuition regardless if your child is here or not. This allows us to continue to pay all of our teacher’s benefits and pay the staff that are here working.

Your director will reach out to you next week to check in. We are missing you and want to hear how you guys are doing!

ROCK THE BLUE TOMORROW!

Dear Parents,

We hope this email finds you and your family well and healthy. We are missing you guys!

Thank you to those of you that have sent treats and lunches!! It’s so nice of you to treat us!

We’ve had another fun week! We’ve been cooking our own pizza and having a fun spirit week.

Our current plan is to continue to operate 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Just a reminder that school aged children up to 12 years old are welcome as well. Also, if you know of anyone that needs care that is not currently enrolled in TWYLA, we are talking new enrollments for those that are in essential jobs and might need care.

Some of you have asked about paying tuition. We understand everyone’s situation is different. We are forever grateful to those families that have not been as economically impacted as others and continue to pay some or all of their Tuition. This allows us to pay our teacher’s benefits as well as continue to pay the teachers that were not furloughed. Even though we have furloughed staff, we hope to continue to pay their insurance so it will not lapse.

Please continue to stay well and we hope to see you very soon,
Debbie, Dan, Ed and The Young Learners Staff

[03/24/20]   Update: We (Daycares) are considered an essential business and the 'stay at home' order that Harris County issued this morning does not pertain to us. Our facilities will remain open to care for the families of essential workers. Stay safe, be well!

Today’s Update, 3/23: It was good to see our friends today. Our drop off process worked well this morning and went very smoothly.

We know this is a challenging time and the information changes daily. As we follow along with all of our health updates, we want to proceed with all the appropriate caution. For this reason we would like to ask you all to be mindful of the health of your entire household. Please treat the whole house as one unit and if anyone is sick, please do not send your child to school until there are no symptoms from anyone in the house for 3 days. We understand that this is difficult but we are all making difficult decisions in order to protect our entire community. Stay well and safe!

COVID 19 Update: You should have received an update via email and it's also posted on our website at the link below. Please let us know if you have questions. Thank you and be well!

Conroe Independent School District

Meals will be distributed curbside at the front of Austin Elementary, Caney Creek High School, Conroe High School, Grand Oaks High School, Hauke High School, Knox Junior High, Oak Ridge High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, The Woodlands High School, and Washington Junior High.

[03/16/20]   Dear Parents,
First and foremost we hope everyone is well! We are in uncharted territory and we are taking this one week at a time. We are currently evaluating our processes and what our plan of action will be moving forward. We appreciate your patience as we make a game plan based on our state licensing regulations. We appreciate your patience and will update you soon.

[03/12/20]   UPDATE: TWYLA will be open tomorrow, Friday, March 13th. Due to CISD's decision to close all schools next week (March 16-20), TWYLA will also be closed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and let you know of the plan past next week as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding to keep our students, our staff and our families safe. If you have questions, please call the school directly.

TWYLA Families: We wanted to take a moment to remind you that we try our best to keep all our families safe, whether it is our students or our staff.

We are vigilantly watching, alongside you, what is happening around us. Lysol, Clorox and hospital grade disinfectants are used every day to keep our schools clean as well as encouraging proper hand wash is the majority of what we do on a daily basis.

Our existing cleaning procedures were put in place to help prevent against the spread of cold, flu and other illnesses. But we also need your help. Following best practices with regards to preventative actions in stopping the spread of germs such as if you or anyone in your family is sick, stay home! This helps us maintain a safe place.

If you have traveled during spring break we hope that you have had a wonderful and safe vacation and if you have been advised to quarantine, please do so.

These are the only ways that we can maintain our school’s safety for our families.

Should you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you!

We had the best time this week celebrating Dr Seuss and Read Across America!
