👣🤚Feeling, Touching, & Exploring 🤚🏼👣To wrap up our 5 senses week, our Early Learners classes planned a texture walk and invited the rest of the school to join in on the fun! Our little explorers got to experience a variety of textures-from soft and smooth to bumpy, rough, squishy, and everything in between.
And for an extra-fun experiment, we explored using our feet! Our students walked through different textures and discovered that our feet can be great sensory explorers too!
Sensory experiences are so important for young children because they help build brain connections, support language development, strengthen motor skills, encourage curiosity, and help children understand the world around them through hands on (or in this case feet on) exploration!
