Esprit International School is an independent, non-sectarian school with a diverse student population enrolling children ages 18m - High School. The School’s philosophy is inspired by the educational thought of Dr. Maria Montessori, and the models for the classrooms and for the development learning materials were created by her. The School continues her work in developmental psychology and educati

on, yet incorporates components of the learning premises of a number of leading educational theorists including Jean Piaget, Eric Ericson, Les Vgotsky and Eric Jensen. The child and his or her needs are the central and commanding focus of the learning process at Esprit. It is the role of the teacher and of the school to observe, to know and to support the child as he or she proceeds through their stages of development. Each child has unlimited possibilities and the future rests on our ability to cultivate this potential. As educators, we believe that the full potential of each person is realized through an ordered, challenging, nurturing environment that meets the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of each person. Our Parent Information Night was a wonderful way to begin the new school year! Families had the opportunity to meet and connect with the teachers who will guide, support, and inspire their children throughout the year.

We also celebrated a very special moment in Esprit’s story. After years of leadership, dedication, and building the beautiful school and community we know today, our founder, Dr. Rosemary Brumbelow, welcomed Ms. Ruth Bekman as she stepped into her new role as Head of School.
