Benchmarks are our studio's way to start a baseline or track your progress. The goal for this benchmark is to measure your anaerobic threshold. It is our quickest and highest intensity benchmark, where your effort should be close to 100% for the entire row.
To prepare for the 500-meter benchmark, you'll need to get very comfortable in the uncomfortable. Intervals is the best class for you to take to prepare because it will train your fast-twitch (type 2) muscle fibers and help you increase your power.
