As previously announced, our Woodland Korean School choir, "Mugunghwa," will be making a guest appearance at the Charis Mission Choir performance taking place this week, on May 31st. We will gather this week (May 31) at 3:00 PM for choir practice and depart for the performance venue (Houston Korean Officers' Church: 9002 Ruland Rd., Houston, TX 77055) at 3:40 PM.
Students who will not be accompanied by their parents and will instead be traveling together via the church van are asked to please let us know in advance.For the choir costumes, the lower garments consist of long jeans, while the upper garments are school T-shirts.Students who were unable to attend last week are invited to come this week at 3:00 PM to pick up their T-shirts. We encourage everyone to attend the Charis performance—which supports The Woodlands Korean School—and hope you have a truly rewarding and meaningful day together.

지난 17일 2026년도 봄학기 종강식을 성황리에 잘 마쳤습니다. 학생들과 학부모님께 감사를 드립니다.

On the 17th, we successfully concluded the closing ceremony for the 2026 Spring Semester. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the students and parents.

이번주24일과 31일은 이미 말씀드린대로 카리스 선교합창 공연에 찬조출연하기 위해서, 본교회본당에서 3시부터 연습을 합니다.

As previously announced, on the 24th and 31st of this week, we will be holding rehearsals in the main sanctuary of our church starting at 3:00 PM, in preparation for our guest performance at the Charis Mission Choir concert.

특별히 이번 카리스 공연은 우드랜드한국학교 후원을 위한 공연입니다. 학부모님들, 24일 연습과 31일 공연에 꼭 참석을 부탁합니다.

In particular, this Charis performance is being held to support the Woodland Korean School. We kindly ask all parents to please ensure you attend both the rehearsal on the 24th and the performance on the 31st..

이번 합창복은 상의는 학교 티셔츠, 하의는 모두 청바지를 입도록 합니다. 31일에는 연습후에 학교에서 함께 출발하도록 함니다. 이번주(24일) 3시에 오셔서 학교 티셔츠를 받으시기 바랍니다.

For this performance, the choir uniform will consist of the school T-shirt for the top and jeans for the bottom. On the 31st, we will all depart from the school together following our rehearsal. Please come to the school this week (on the 24th) at 3:00 PM to pick up your school T-shirt.

금주 5월17일 봄학가 종강식날입니다. 한학기동안 한국어공부를 열심히 해준 학생들과 학부모님들께 진심으로 감사를 드립니다. 한학기동안 수고해 주신 선생님들께도 감사를 드리고, 부족한 학교 운영을 뒷받침 해주신 본교회 조의석목사님과 조영애 사모님께도 진심으로 감사를 드립니다. 점차로 수준높은 한국어를 구사할수 있도록 가을학기에도 계속해서 등록해 주시기를 바랍니다. 가을학기 등록은 8월 9이고 수업시작은 8월16일입니다. 학교 학사운영을 위해서 오늘 미리 등록원서를 제출해 주시기를 부탁합니다.

This week, May 17th, marks the closing ceremony for our spring semester. We extend our sincere gratitude to the students and parents who have dedicated themselves so diligently to studying
the Korean language throughout this semester.
We also wish to thank the teachers for their hard work over the past term, as well as Pastor Jo Eui-seok and Mrs. Jo Young-ae of our sponsoring church for their invaluable support in the administration of our school.As previously announced, our Woodland Korean School choir, "Mugunghwa," will be making a guest appearance at the Charis Mission Choir Concert taking place on May 31st. On May 24th, we will gather at 3:00 PM for choir practice. On May 31st, we will meet at 3:00 PM for a brief rehearsal, and following that,
we will assemble at 4:00 PM to depart together. The performance begins at 5:00 PM. We kindly ask for everyone's cooperation.

종강식날에는 행사가 끝난 후에는 학교에서는 피쟈를 준비하고, 각가정에서 음식을 한가지씩 준비해 주셔서,
즐겁게 함께 나누며 대화의 시간을 갖도록 하겠습니다.

On the day of the closing ceremony, following the program, the school will provide pizza; we also ask that each family bring
one dish to share, so that we may enjoy a pleasant time of conversation and fellowship together.

우드랜드한국학교 운영이 현 학생들의 등록금으로는 너무나도 부족해서 가을학기에 조금 등록금이 인상됩니다. 이점 이해 부탁드립니다.

As current tuition fees are insufficient to cover the operating costs of the Woodland Korean School, tuition will be slightly
increased for the fall semester. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Additionally, we plan to form a Board of Directors
starting this fall semester to assist with the school's operations. We sincerely ask any interested parents to join us as Board members
of the Woodlands Korean School and to work together for the continued growth and development of our school .

이제 종강식(5월 17일)까지는 3주밖에 안 남았습니다. 결석하는 일 없이 최선을 다해 수업에 임해 주시기를 바랍니다. 종강식날에 학생들의재주자랑과 한국어로 자기소개 및 학급발표회도 준비하고 있습니다. 학부모님들도 모두 참석해 주시고, 한복이 있는 가정은 한복을 입으면 좋갰습니다.

There are now only three weeks remaining until the closing ceremony on May 17th. I hope you will give your absolute best in class and attend without any absences.For the final day of the semester, we are preparing a talent show featuring the students, self-introductions in Korean, and class presentations. We encourage all parents to attend, and for families who own a Hanbok, we would be delighted if you chose to wear it for the occasion.

지난 학기에는 박현기,민기,윤기 가정과 (Lucas, Nolan,caleb Park) 주디, 노아, 첸(Jody,Noah, Ding Chen)가정에서 학교를 위해 특별 후원을 해 주셨습니다. 두 가정에 감사를 드립니다. 학교경비는 학생들의 등록금으로는 운영하기가 부족해서, 부족액을 빛사랑교회에서 보조해 주십니다. 앞으로 학교발전을 위해서 학부모님들의 많은 후원도 부탁을 드립니다.

Last semester, the Park family (Lucas, Nolan, and Caleb Park) and the Chen family (Jody, Noah, and Ding Chen) provided special sponsorship for the school. We extend our sincere gratitude to both families. As student tuition alone is insufficient to cover the school's operating expenses, Bit Sarang Church graciously provides a subsidy to make up the shortfall. We also respectfully request the generous support of parents to foster the continued development of our school.

We had a very fun Korean Culture Day!

Our students got to experience Korean Culture through traditional games such as Sebae, Yutnori, arm wrestling, Jegichagi, Ttakjichigi, Omok, and top making. If you have hanbok, You'll wear it and traditionally bow to the pastor, chairman, and principal for New Year's gift.

If you want to join our Korean School you can still register for classes or we will see you next semester!

금주 3월1일에는 한국문화 체험하는 행사를 합니다. 이날에는 수업을 한시간 정도 하고 세배하기, 윷놀이, 팔씨름,제기차기, 딱지치기.오목놀이,팽이만들기 등 한국전통놀이를 통해서 문화 체험을 합니다. 한복이 있으면 입고와서 목사님과 이사장님과 교장님께 세배드리기를 하겠습니다. 세배돈도 준비하고 있습니다.

On this day, we will have a class for about an hour and experience Korean culture through traditional games such as Sebae, Yutnori, arm wrestling, Jegichagi, Ttakjichigi, Omok, and top making. 다음주(3월8일)은 봄방학기간이라 학교수업이 없습니다. 온가족이 즐거은 봄방학을 보내시기를 바랍니다.

초급1반은 금주부터 임선욱 선생님이 새로 맡으십니다. 임선욱선생님은 휴스턴 순복음한글학교와 케티 한글학교에서 한국어 교육을 맡으셨던 경험이 풍부금주 3월1일에는 한국문화 체험하는 행사를 합니다. 이날에는 수업을 한시간 정도 하고 세배하한 선생님이십니다. 임선욱선생님을 크게크게 환영합니다.

Beginner Class 1 will be taught by our new teacher, Sunwook Lim, starting this week. Mrs. Sunwook Lim is an experienced Korean teacher who taught at Houston Full Gospel Korean School and the Katie Korean School. We extend a warm welcome to her.

금주(2/22/2026)는 특별세미나(자녀교육세미나:강사 이훈구 장로)가 본교회 본당에서 3시부터 자녀교육,결혼, 가치관에 대해 강연이 있습니다.

특별세미나는 3시부터 본당에서 시작하고(3:00-3:45),수업은 2교시부터(4:00) 이루어집니다. 특별하고 귀한 시간에 학생과 학부모님 모두 참석해 주십시요.강의는 한국어로 하지만 영어를 사용하시는 분들을 위해서 Kaleo All을 셀폰에 설치해서 곧바로 동시통역으로 들을수 있습니다

This week (2/22/2026), there will be a special seminar (Children's Education Seminar: Instructor: Elder Lee Hoon-gu) at 3 p.m. in the main church hall, where he will give lectures on children's education, marriage, and values.The special seminar will begin at 3:00 PM(3:00-3:45) in the main sanctuary, with classes beginning at 4:00 PM. Students and parents are encouraged to attend this special and valuable time. The lectures are in Korean, but for those who speak English, you can install Kaleo All on your phone and listen to the simultaneous interpretation right away.

다음달 3월1일에는 한국문화 체험하는 행사를 봄학기 피크닉 대신으로 가지려고 합니다. 이날에는 수업을 한시간 정도 하고 세배하기, 윷놀이, 팔씨름,제기차기, 딱지치기 등 한국전통놀이를 통해서 문화 체험을 합니다. 혹시 한복이 있으면 입고와서 목사님과 이사장님께 세배드리기를 하겠습니다. 세배돈도 준비하고 있습니다. 초급반에 아나리는 이 행사를 위해서 한복을 구입했다고 합니다.

On March 1st, we are planning to hold an event to experience Korean culture instead of the spring semester picnic. On this day, the class takes about an hour and we experience culture through traditional Korean games such as bowing, yut, arm wrestling, jegichagi, and ttachichigi. If the students have hanbok, they will wear it and bow to the pastor and chairman. We are also preparing New Year's money. It is said that Analee in the intermediate class bought a hanbok for this event.
