Good Morning Band Students and Parents,
We are looking forward to a great day together this Saturday as we continue preparing for the season and finish the evening with our Parent Preview! Please read through the information below carefully, as there are several important details regarding the day's schedule and evening procedures.
Saturday Rehearsal Schedule
7:00 AM–11:00 AM – Rehearsal
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Lunch
12:00 PM–3:00 PM – Rehearsal
Students will be dismissed at 3:00 PM and should plan to return to campus by 6:30 PM for the Parent Preview.
Student Attire
Students should wear their Summer Band Attire for the Parent Preview, with one change: instead of their band jersey, students will wear their show shirt.
For wind and percussion students, Saturday's attire will be:
Show shirt
Black khaki shorts
Black belt
LONG black socks
Marching shoes
Please make sure you have all parts of your attire ready before Saturday evening.
Parent Preview – 7:00 PM
Our Parent Preview will begin at 7:00 PM in the auditorium. After the auditorium portion of the evening, we will transition outside to the stadium for the marching portion of the preview.
All students, parents, and guests should enter the building through the Black Box entrance. There will be weapon detection scanners at the entrance, and everyone entering the building will need to pass through them.
IMPORTANT: Transition to the Stadium
This is especially important for everyone attending the Parent Preview:
Once you have entered the building and passed through the weapon detection scanners, please follow the students when we transition from the auditorium to the stadium.
The students will exit the auditorium and take the route through the alleyway and directly into the stadium. Parents and guests should follow the students using this same route.
Following the students to the stadium will prevent you from having to pass through the weapon detection scanners a second time.
Please make sure anyone attending the Parent Preview with you is aware of this procedure as well.
We are excited for our families to see what the students have been working on! Saturday will be a long day, but it will be a great opportunity for our students to perform and for our families to get their first look at what we have been building this season.
We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday evening!
