📚✨ What would school look like without a love for reading?

At Bronx 3, we believe a strong reading culture can change the way scholars experience school. It’s the difference between simply learning to read and growing up seeing yourself as a reader.

We want our scholars surrounded by books that spark curiosity, reflect different experiences, make them laugh, teach them something new, and sometimes take them somewhere completely different. We want independent reading to be a moment of choice, imagination, and discovery- not just another task on the schedule.

Because when a school truly values reading, it shows. It’s in the books lining our classroom shelves. It’s in the conversations scholars have about their favorite characters. It’s in the excitement of finding that book they can’t put down. And it’s in the belief that every scholar can find themselves in a story and discover something new beyond it. 🧡💙

A few things we absolutely cannot live without: our scholars, our incredible staff, the laughs in the hallways, the high fives, the big questions, the little moments, and the people who show up every day ready to make it happen. 🧡💙

We put a frame around a few of the people and moments that make our school our school — but the truth is, we could’ve kept filming all day.
